Welcome to Inner Renewal Therapy
A place for healing, growth, and support. Imagine it as a personal journey to discover your strengths, navigate life's ups and downs with newfound resilience, all while gaining effective tools for a more balanced and fulfilling life.
You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone
I help individuals navigate OCD, anxiety, grief, and perinatal challenges with compassion and proven strategies. Together, we’ll create space for healing and growth.
Ever felt like you need to be "stronger" or "try harder" just to make life a bit easier? You're not alone. Many clients I’ve worked with share these thoughts, thinking that if they were just a little "stronger" or pushed themselves a bit harder, life would fall into place. But here's the thing – it's not about needing more strength. It's about having access to the right tools, the right support, and the right help to truly thrive. And that's where I come in – I'm here to provide you with the tools and support you need to live life the way you want to.
Welcome to Inner Renewal Therapy. I'm Alina Lamoreaux, the founder of Inner Renewal Therapy and a therapist with 15 years of experience dedicated to walking with you on your unique journey. I've had the privilege of supporting individuals of all ages, from children to adolescents and adults.
In our therapeutic journey, I draw from a diverse toolkit of evidenced-based interventions. These include exposure therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, anxiety reduction, stress management, and techniques. My ultimate goal is to help you gain effective coping skills to manage feelings and emotions in a healthy way.
I specialize in treating perinatal issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress & anxiety, trauma, grief & loss, and body image issues & self-esteem challenges. Your struggles may have become a familiar part of your life, but I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to settle for just getting by. Relief is possible, and you are not alone in this.
My clients often share that they appreciate my warm and approachable nature. In therapy, it’s essential that you feel safe and comfortable opening up, and I’m here to create that space for you. I provide direct feedback and encourage the development of resilience tools that are necessary to overcome the obstacles that may be standing in the way of your progress.

What to Expect
At Inner Renewal, I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can be a significant decision. I want to ensure that you know exactly what to expect during your journey to renewal and well-being. Just as a dandelion progresses through various stages of growth, so too will your therapeutic experience evolve. Here’s what you can anticipate at each step:
Consultation
The seed of your therapeutic journey, the consultation is the very first step towards growth and healing. In this free 15-minute chat, we'll discuss your concerns and needs for therapy to ensure that we are the right fit for each other before committing to service.
Paperwork
Initial Visit
Your first counseling visit at Inner Renewal is all about getting to know your story, the problems you have been facing, and the way it has been impacting your daily life. This marks the beginning of our journey together, as we work towards understanding and addressing the roots of your challenges.
Individual Sessions
The closed dandelion represents a natural phase in therapy where individuals often turn within, seeking introspection to provide time and space to heal. It symbolizes the true, hard, but deeply rewarding work. In these sessions, we'll work towards your treatment plan goals, addressing the core of your challenges, and guiding you through the transformation that comes with introspection and hard work. This phase is often the most rewarding, as it's where profound healing and personal growth take place.
Therapy Completion
Just as a dandelion releases its fluffy seeds into the wind, therapy can help you release the negative thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may have held you back. When your treatment plan goals have been met and you're experiencing relief, you may be ready to decrease or stop sessions. Our goal is to empower you to navigate your life with the tools and resilience you've gained.
Be Like the Dandelion - A Symbol of Growth and Renewal
Your therapeutic journey at Inner Renewal is a partnership, and we are here to guide and support you through each stage. The dandelion’s transformation from a tiny seed to a resilient puffball symbolizes the change and growth you can achieve. We’re committed to helping you tap into your inner resilience, explore new perspectives, and embrace the personal growth and transformation that is possible through therapy.
Why doesn’t constant trampling defeat the dandelion? The key to its strength is its long and sturdy root, which extends deep into the earth. The same principle applies to people. The true victors in life are those who, enduring repeated challenges and setbacks, have sent the roots of their being to such a depth that nothing can shake them.

“My 11 year old daughter worked with Alina for 6 months & I attended her weekly sessions with her. We absolutely loved Alina! My daughter had a lot of fear around therapy & Alina connected with her quickly and helped her to feel comfortable. She was always warm & professional and was able to help my daughter learn tools to better manage her anxiety and other big emotions. My daughter left each session feeling positive & confident in her ability to work through her fears. She made huge progress and surpassed all of her initial therapy goals. Even though I was not the one in therapy I received so much value from my daughter’s sessions, not only tools to help me parent her better, but also tools I continue to use when dealing with my own everyday life stress. I would absolutely recommend Alina to anyone in need of mental health support at any level”. Parent

“I was having a very hard time with fears of what would happen to people I care about. Therapy was an amazing help with my anxiety. I started out with a different therapist and it was very hard to switch. Alina was so kind and helpful with the switch. I was so glad that I switched because she was so nice and playful. I left sessions confident with my ability to get through anxiety. The skills she taught me continue to help me, even after finishing therapy. Now I know that anxiety isn’t bad. I am so happy that she was there to help me with my anxiety. I definitely recommend her for mental health support. She is super awesome and is very helpful”. Client – Age 11
